7 th Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop for PhD students and postdocs

We have the honour and pleasure to welcome you to the 7th annual Swedish Bioinformat-ics Workshop (SBW2006), this time held at AlbaNova university center in Stockholm. We hope to be able to match the expectations of previous years and provide you with an interesting programme. Starting with the first workshop in 2000 in Uppsala, this has been an excellent opportunity for researchers and students to meet, discuss and let themselves be inspired by other members of their fields. Bioinformatics is a growing scientific discipline, which develops and diversifies continuously and the need for staying updated on research conducted by others is certainly not less important than before. Stockholm is the capital city of Sweden. Its beautiful location on islands between Mälaren and the Baltic makes it an attractive place to stay for tourists and residents alike. We sincerely hope you will enjoy your stay during the workshop and get a chance to do some sightseeing as well.
